I've had this problem for just the past few weeks and came across your post while trying to look for a solution.

It's highly unlikely Nokia will have something broken this long so I ended up logging into my Ovi account and re-sending the sync settings to my phone via text message - all works fine now! You'll should try that.

It's now 21st October and I am also getting the same "Server Not Responding" message on my N97. Trouble with Nokia is they dont seem to test things too rigidly before a launch of anything so what's changed here? If they dont sort their act out they will lose the market, after all what is the use of having a top notch phone that cannot sync? I'm waiting for the release of the phones new firmware but I dont expect this to solve any problems with ovi sync as its not just the N97 that cannot sync. What gives me the hump is that Nokia support wont reply or solve issues quickly, this to me is a nail in their coffin and are doomed if they dont listen to customers problems and remedy their software. Come on Nokia, shareholders wont be pleased :-(

GMail do nt provide signup and mailbox usage only email client available and ovi provide both

Thanks daClaus,I totally forgot the charger part.Yup with out the Micro USB charger adapter I would have to charge it through the laptop all the time,as the Euro charger doesn't fit into the Oz plug points.

Also included (at least in the EURO version) is a charging adapter for the old Nokia chargers (both the large one (3.5mm?) and the small 2mm) to micro USB.

And, of course, the USB data/ charging cable :-)

When i bought my N82 i was amused with this feature.I showed this miracle to everyone.I though that all autofocus camera phones are capable of doing this.
Which other phones can do this?

I had the same problem and was trying the same things as you describe, but unfortunately it did not work.
Always the same: Server not responding!
Then I tried the same again over WiFi and voilá... it looks like it worked for now (ovi.com shows me the device was synchronised).

In fact N82 always uses very long exposure time when flash is used (1/30s). The idea is that it combines ambient light with the limited flash power in order to make the best possible exposure. In case of the moving fan picture there is almost no ambient light so the exposure practically happens only during the flash pulse, which is very short. That is the reason why the pictures looks like frozen even though it actually isn't. You can try to take the same picture by adding a bit more ambient light. The result is that you can still see the fan frozen in one place but there is also a shadow of moving fan visible just like in N95 8MB image.

Xenon Flash is far superior than LED or Dual LED. N82 beats All Sony Ericsson Cybershot even the 8MP at capturing image quality.
