You'll should try that.

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

It's now 21st October and I am also getting the same "Server Not Responding" message on my N97. Trouble with Nokia is they dont seem to test things too rigidly before a launch of anything so what's changed here? If they dont sort their act out they will lose the market, after all what is the use of having a top notch phone that cannot sync? I'm waiting for the release of the phones new firmware but I dont expect this to solve any problems with ovi sync as its not just the N97 that cannot sync. What gives me the hump is that Nokia support wont reply or solve issues quickly, this to me is a nail in their coffin and are doomed if they dont listen to customers problems and remedy their software. Come on Nokia, shareholders wont be pleased :-(

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

I posted this about 7 months ago and it's a shame that still they haven't fixed it out.

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

I met the same pb as yours.
I can't understand why Nokia doesn't inform us when the service will resume.

Bye

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

i think nokia should close down this ovi business!! horrible!!! trying ti sync, you feel like throwing the phone to into the dust bin!!

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

I had the same problem and was trying the same things as you describe, but unfortunately it did not work.
Always the same: Server not responding!
Then I tried the same again over WiFi and voilá... it looks like it worked for now (ovi.com shows me the device was synchronised).

Re: Is The OVI Contacts Sync Server Down?

Hi, have the same problem too with an N85/S60.
